ABSTRACT
Using dramatic literature in Social Studies classrooms as a springboard for exploring an historical event or unpacking a social issue might not be a common practice or seem a natural fit for the curriculum. This chapter will provide examples of how the study of dramatic literature can enrich existing curricula in Social Studies and interdisciplinary American Studies classrooms.
