ABSTRACT
Joseph LeDoux’s neuropsychology (see Chapter 5) firmly reunified brain, body, and mind in the study of knowledge and personhood. In other societies, the Greek, Christian, and Cartesian rift between body and mind never occurred. For the Cashinahua, a tribal people of Brazil and Peru, the body is where knowledge resides.
