ABSTRACT
A grasp of the mechanisms should lead directly to deductions about a lack of responsiveness to treatment, so we attempt to provide an account of the explanations that have been proposed, and evaluate their present standing. The identity and causes of non-responsiveness are then considered. Overlapping explanations have been given for the effects of BT and each is discussed. However, it is essential to begin by establishing that there is indeed something that needs to be explained. Is BT an effective treatment for OeD?
