ABSTRACT
Most of the recent debate regarding torture comes from the legal debate in the US concerning what is admissible in interrogation of suspects of terrorism, and the questionable concept of Enhanced Interrogation. This debate stems from a long tradition coming from the time of the School of the Americas (SOA) in the 1980s. Here we map the evolution of contemporary US military intelligence collection procedures.1
