ABSTRACT
My dear friend, Your ex-religious fanatic patient first reminded me of an analysis that exhausted
me, as well as two supervisors I had at the time, both exceptional. I started to conduct analysis with a twenty-five year-old man who suffered repetitive asthma attacks and sometimes needed urgent hospitalisation two or three times a week. Using Pankow’s method of therapy, I had him make drawings and clay sculptures, and in a short time the asthma disappeared. I was very proud of my therapeutic prowess – but I had no idea what was going on.
