Raising the ISO on your camera and using shutter priority is a sensible approach. Also switching your camera to continuous shooting mode increases your likelihood of capturing one or two decent images. ere is no easy solution when the elements are against you other than to try another day. Early morning starts do have a slight advantage in that resting insects are still torpid from the cooler overnight temperatures.
