ABSTRACT

Achieving Consistency and Style Developing a style or achieving a particular look to your work which is identi ably yours takes time. e process of creating visual consistency in your imagery irrespective of where your photographic interest lies is the result of practice, technical know-how, a creative mind and, above all, patience. Don’t expect to get it right every time. Style is not instantaneous; it evolves over time. As your photography matures, so does your style; it develops with you. Training your mind to establish those subjects that meet your criteria comes with practice. It’s important therefore to study your work regularly and methodically. Analyse those images that are successful and those that were not, asking yourself why they failed and can you correct or avoid that mistake in the future. It is often the simple things or changes in practice that become game changers.
