ABSTRACT
The previous chapters have examined a variety of contested ideas of Asian regionalism, including the membership, scope and norms of Asian regionalism. This chapter moves our discussion to the contestation of regional governance, focusing on the ideational dimension of regional governance. It addresses how Asian regionalism handles and manages concrete and practical issues, and considers Asian regional governance in its own right.
