ABSTRACT

States such as Oklahoma, North Carolina, Iowa, Ohio, Kansas, and Texas have worked to disseminate and adopt effective STEM instructional practices statewide that include authentic hands-on learning to increase student engagement and achievement. National organizations such as STEMx Network are online networks of state STEM programs willing to share their STEM-based resources and hold conferences for networking. Some grants are available to bring high-quality STEM content and experiences to students from low-income, high-need schools. Many programs support teachers’ growth in STEM programs and others support innovative technologies that are intended to personalize student learning.
