ABSTRACT

In the 21st century the nature of storytelling and the language and modes of story delivery are constantly being redefined. We’ve moved from an oral culture of telling stories around the kitchen table, to an era of mass communication where the book, newspaper and text dominated, to a world of convergent medias that capture daily life and play it back to a global audience in real time. Access to powerful and affordable mobile technology means just about anyone can own the tools to tell stories and publish on the Internet anytime from almost anywhere. Moreover, this ability is creating a paradigm shift in the way media does business.
