ABSTRACT

Best known as a staff writer and editor of The Village Voice, Jack Newfield was an outspoken figure in the New Left during the 1960s and was also regarded as a pioneering New Journalist in the 1970s. He is the author of A Prophetic Minority (1966), Robert Kennedy: A Memoir (1969), Bread and Roses Too (1971), and his memoir The Education of Jack Newfield (1984).
