ABSTRACT
I have done a fair amount of work on political apologies, and when I give talks on the subject one of the things that I try to get audiences to think about is what future generations will be apologizing for in terms of our own current policies and behavior. One of these, I am sure, is the manner in which arms are sold to states that carry out gross and systematic human rights violations.
