ABSTRACT
The war on terrorism serves as the backdrop for the next two films. In both cases what the viewer sees is that under the banner of fighting terror the US government readily engages in terror itself. Taxi, which won an Academy Award for Best Documentary, does this by focusing on the death of a single Afghan citizen, while Ghosts uses the atrocities at Abu Ghraib as a means of excoriating American policies and practices.
