ABSTRACT

In order for a research study to exist, there needs to be at least one research question to be addressed. Once there has been a research question or questions established, then it is important to justify that question(s). This is where the argument comes in. The argument can take a number of forms. Finally, there is also a need to ground both the question and the argument within the existing research community. This is where the References come into play. In this chapter, we will look at the research question and the argument. In the next chapter, we will break the flow of the article, after a fashion, to jump to the end to look at the References.
