ABSTRACT

The number of people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) has increased to an alarming level in Asia, especially for youth between 15 and 24 years old. Because HIV/AIDS affects the younger generation, educators need to be aware of the current information and the latest statistics about the population infected with HIV/AIDS. With the appropriate tools and strategies identified, educators can develop effective school-based prevention programs and serve the educational and psychological needs of people with HIV/AIDS.
