ABSTRACT
The Dorchester District Courthouse is a newly renovated building in Codman Square, a busy crossroads in the midst of one of Dorchester’s very mixed neighborhoods, nineteenth-century mansions with two-hundred-year-old copper beech trees down one street, shabby apartment houses and hole-in-the-wall shops down another, a racial and ethnic congregation on the sidewalks that would take pages to describe.
