ABSTRACT
This chapter and the two following chapters deal with the effects of several independent variables on performance on concurrent schedules. Initially, we focus on concurrent VI VI schedules, the schedule pair for which the matching and generalized matching relations were developed. In this chapter, we consider the effects on behavior allocation of reinforcer rate, reinforcer duration (or amount), reinforcer quality, and reinforcer delay in isolation. We also look at the interactions between some of these variables.
