ABSTRACT

Eradicating the scourge of poverty, hunger and malnutrition in all its forms is at the heart of a new and universal post-2015 agenda. In “leaving no one behind”, rural-urban inequalities must be addressed – with particular attention to small-scale food producers including women, indigenous peoples and family farmers. Really, this is a defi ning moment for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) as these issues reaffi rm its mandate and take centre stage in the post-2015 debate.
