ABSTRACT
In the context of this chapter, the Nexus refers to four areas: water, food, energy and the impacts of climate change. We are suggesting a set of Nexus Principles for companies, designed to draw together previous principles set forth for individual sectors. These include the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Food and Agriculture Business Principles, the UNGC CEO Water Mandate, the Policy Recommendations from the Bonn 2011 Water, Energy, Food Security Nexus Conference and the Principles from the Nexus Water, Food, Climate and Energy 2014 Conference Declaration.
