ABSTRACT
The inception of the Early Classic is dated to 600 ce because at this time local sources, both historical and archaeological, become adequate to enable scholars to rely mainly on them to reconstruct Seasian society. Records of the Tang dynasty, Arabo-Persian sources, and Indian inscriptions contain much valuable information on Seasia during this period.
