ABSTRACT
The previous chapter explored the perspectives and political decisionmaking of key LGBT-Q advocates and media discourses as civil partnership (CP) and marriage emerged in Ireland and provided valuable insight into the LGBT-Q political landscape as well as the dominant ideas and norms circulating at the time. This and the next two chapters turn to provide crucial insight into the lived experiences of this context via the everyday negotiations of LGBT-Q teachers whilst entering into a CP.
