ABSTRACT
This chapter presents conversations in the Mandarin Chinese language based on common daily situations with their English translations. English translation enables to follow Chinese more closely. Some of the sounds of Mandarin Chinese are so similar to English sounds, they will present no difficulty for the learner. It also presents few vocabularies and grammar sections in the Mandarin Chinese language with their English meanings. Grammar sections teaches the usage of Verb complements relating to place, Simple directional complements. The chapter provides various speech patterns such as Verbal suffix, usage of verb compliment, Verbs of locomotion, Verbs of motion with appropriate English examples. Various exercises are attached along this chapter. Expansion Drills gives confidence in building up longer and longer sentences in Chinese and increases fluency at the same time. The solid foundation of this chapter is to enhance Chinese language to peoples those who wish to advance their language skills to higher levels.
