William Gibson’s Pattern Recognition positions 9/11 in a globalized jet set, spanning virtual and geographical spaces. It is hardly surprising that Gibson, author of Neuromancer and cyberpunk pioneer, resists what has been deplored to be a tendency toward the domesticated in 9/11 ction.1
