ABSTRACT

Introduction The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) began functioning in 2015; its current members are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The EAEU was arranged on the fundament of its precursor, the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The EAEU countries play a minor role in Russian outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) stock (4 percent), but Russian investors hold an influential position in the respective economies. Russian FDI constitutes an important aspect of economic integration, especially for Armenia and Belarus.
