Hazard reduction methods These methods include all those which attempt to do something about the hazard itself, rather than its possible effects. The most effective of these methods is to remove the hazard completely – that is, reduce it so far that it is eliminated. Less effective methods reduce the potency of the hazard to a greater or lesser extent.
