ABSTRACT
Ayear after returning from Geneva, I received a letter from the Official Secretary to the Governor-General, from Government House, Canberra ACT, advising me that my name was being considered for submission to Her Majesty the Queen for appointment as a member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
