After completing this chapter, the reader should be able to:
outline the physiological effects of the hormones produced by the adrenal cortex and the gonads;
identify the endocrine agents that act on each of these endocrine glands;
describe the actions and properties of the endocrine agents at each of these glands and, in general, the conditions they are used to treat.
