ABSTRACT

The proposed methodology for investigating and designing an accessible and tangible urban regeneration, both social and cultural, has been discussed, clarified, and summarized. Possible ideas for its innovative application with the use of sustainable technologies have been suggested. This research can be concluded by underlining the importance of environmental and landscaping studies dedicated to the humanized zones, mainly when they appear strongly integrated and interacting with the biotic processes. It is important to remember that the rural landscape, which includes these two characters, actually requires extensive analysis for the understanding and adjustment of development lines. Only by these means can a project of transformation lead towards a real sustainable evolution of the areas and truly succeed in creating a valorization of the habitats, that is, a balanced share between aspects of environmental, cultural, and overall social requalification.
