ABSTRACT

The chapters leading up to this have focused specifically on European-American contributions to the practice and philosophy of Science, mirroring the dominant narrative found in Western academia. This history is the result of intentional historical acts of erasure connected to European goals of political and cultural dominance. The legacy of this erasure leaves us with an incomplete and inaccurate knowledge of the genealogies of the ideas we engage with. This chapter draws attention to this reality and seeks to draw attention to its scope, including shedding light on predecessors of ideas that earlier chapters have explored Eurocentrically.
