ABSTRACT

Given the problem of covering “The Resource Dimensions of Agricultural Policy” in a single paper, it is not surprising that Benbrook, Crosson, and Ogg concentrate on the single dimension of soil erosion. However, the policy analysis of soil erosion is examined in such a specific manner that concepts applicable to other resource dimensions are hard to draw. The authors anticipate some novel policies in resource management this year but only discuss two examples—targeted acreage reductions and rental-based acreage set-aside.
