ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on key concepts discussed in the preceding chapter of this book. The book brings the heuristic of bi-relational development into the broader discussion of wicked problems. The book have illustrates BirD as a useful approach for recognising and (re)solving wicked problems in the real world. The book contributes to further reflection and action on the claim that people can better understand each other, the universe and us by reconciling the opposites that reside in the wicked problems. The book introduces bi-relational development into three parts. First it introduced the concept of dyads and dyadic relationships in relation to the recognition and (re)solution of wicked problems. Second it used to illustrate BirD's archetypal positions and dynamics in authentic contexts. Finally it discussed some of the applications of a bi-relational approach in the context of formal education.
