ABSTRACT
Acquisition of natural resources is one of the main reasons the three Asian economies have invested heavily in the LACs, even though the region has never witnessed the kind of scramble that went on in some African countries. However, there's no doubt strategic materials do represent a focus and one of the main points of attraction of the region, both in terms of trade, investments and agreements of all kinds.
