ABSTRACT

The preceding chapters describe the issues and phenomena due to the interaction among nature environment, host community and the tourist indulging in and consuming the resources that nature offers. From the tourist’s point of view, nature is a setting, a venue or a location providing health, wellness, hedonic, and eudaimonic experiences demanding a variety of mental and physical exertions. Tourism activities may produce pressures on resources on which they rely. In order to manage nature tourism in a sustainable way appropriate monitory mechanisms ought to be developed systematically. This book offers examples of nature tourism from different countries including Australia, China, France, Finland, Germany, Japan, Hungary, India, Israel, Kenya, Namibia, Norway, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Taiwan, and South Korea.
