ABSTRACT

We have led you through the forest and come out the other side. This book describes for you and your campus community the primary root factors of sexual violence and gives you a framework for reducing the risk on your campus. If it feels like the root factors overlap, it is because they do. Just like roots on trees, these factors are interconnected and often difficult to untangle or distinguish. More so, they feed upon one another and grow together. With this, the work is just beginning. As a field we must continue to unearth the problematic attitudes and behaviors present in our communities in order to prevent sexual violence. This chapter shares with you our ideas about what the future holds and how to begin applying the risk factors in your work.
