ABSTRACT
Ergonomics is the applied study of the interaction between people and the objects and environment around them. In the work environment, the objects include chairs, tables, machines and workstations. Ergonomics looks at more than just the design of chairs, though. A complete approach to the work environment is the aim, including making it easier to receive information from machines and interpret it correctly.
