Introduction to health and safety law

Much of this Part covers the legal framework and requirements in England and Wales. There is no fundamental difference between the legal systems of these countries. The systems in Scotland and Northern Ireland are different, although not such as to make significant differences in the standards of health and safety required. Differences in the organisation and administration of the law, in procedures and terminology, will, however, be significant for the health and safety practitioners in those countries.
