ABSTRACT
Julie knocked on the door for a meeting with Carol Marcus, her internship supervisor, to prepare a bill for a client. Julie had worked for three weeks at her internship in event planning at Everyday Events Corporation. Her initial contact for this internship was a friend of her parents. So far, the internship was going well. A good letter of recommendation from Carol would be a plus in hunting for a job after graduation. Carol was making sure that Julie would experience all phases of the event planning process. Julie was getting hands-on experience in event planning, from negotiating a contract to budgeting, purchasing, and running events. In her final project, she would be responsible for planning and running a company picnic for a local business. Carol would help, of course, but the picnic would be Julie’s responsibility.
