ABSTRACT
T he purpose of this chapter is to review research design issues relevant to multicultural psychology. A consideration of these issues will allow you to critique the research of others and to conduct culturally competent research of your own. Unfortunately, much psycho-
logical research addresses few, if any, of these issues. No single study can address all the issues raised in this chapter. However, the more issues that are addressed, the more culturally competent the study will be.
