ABSTRACT
E conomics is sometimes called the “dismal science,” and many do not consider it a science at all. In fact, the predictive power of economics is weak, and much of its success is predicated on a positive psychology. Economists have learned much about the functioning of the economy, however, and they know which specific actions will have which economic result.
