ABSTRACT
At the height of the popularity of television Reality TV, the concluding episode of a series called Survivor All-Stars featured a debriefing conversation among all of the competitors. On stage were not only the winners of the contest, but also every contestant who had previously been eliminated (“The Tribe Has Spoken,” as the host liked to proclaim.) This season’s finale had a new twist, however, in that the woman who finished first and the man who finished second due largely to their alliance throughout the series had just announced their upcoming wedding to the national audience.
