ABSTRACT

History is not a subject that excites many students. There are some his-tory lovers out there in classrooms, of course. But, for the most part, students often see history as names and dates to be memorized for upcoming exams. It is true that history includes names and dates, but it is much more than that. History is a record of the past, and the past includes a multitude of other facts beyond names and dates. The past also involves events and, quite likely, a host of economic, social, and political situations that may be little understood in present day culture.
