ABSTRACT

The domestic fuel resource base vas found to be adequate to meet the

probable demands for the period o f the forecast.

Fuel Availability. The inadequate rate of development of domestic

resources and the unavailability of commercial technologies to produce

acceptable energy in the forms and quantity required were considered as

demand limitations. Accordingly, supply constraints were factored

into the forecast and i t therefore represents expected consumption. The

expected quantities of natural gas, Alaskan North Slope o i l , synthetic

fuels from coal and o i l shale, and imported LNG are as quantified in

the report.
