ABSTRACT

Summary Part III is about how we can use the fundamental building blocks learned in Parts I and II. Learning the basic rules is all well and good, but the language that is actually used by people, whether in conversation or in writing, is a complex network of clauses. The clauses all behave according to the basic patterns we learned before, but they can appear like a complete tangle. This part should have helped unravel the ball of wool, a little.
