ABSTRACT
Higher education in Chile experienced an exponential growth in the last 30 years, expansion that was analogous to many other countries around the world. As part of the mass proliferation of education and lack of regulation of higher education institutions, one of the present priorities and challenges has been to guarantee access to high quality post-secondary education while overcoming the inequalities that have characterized the Chilean society.
