ABSTRACT
The dreams break into a million tiny pieces. The dream dies. There are plenty of inspiring stories of writers who achieved their greatest heights in their third act. A person should recall what writer-director Anne Fontaine said about her work process—that she has several stories going at the same time. She finds shooting the most challenging part of the filmmaking process, so when she returns from a shoot, she makes sure she comes back to a story that's already in progress. If one is not working at this moment in time, a person always has another person he/she can turn to. A person should recall that Barry Morrow said this exact thing—that when he returns from his shoot, he'll evaluate his projects and determine which makes the most sense to work on. A person might do it out of necessity after they have already established themselves in the industry, or they might choose to do it.
