ABSTRACT

My admission Before I begin, I have to tell you that this chapter has a special significance for me. It is an admission paper to a very exclusive club called “Gerontocracy” – those who have remained creative in old age. So far, its members are Sophocles, Goethe, Verdi, Bertrand Russell and George Bernard Shaw. Since I am one hundred years old, I am entitled to membership, but only if this chapter is good enough.
