ABSTRACT
Rigor and Assessment in the Classroom developed out of the questions and requests from teachers and leaders in my workshops. Many had read my earlier books on rigor: Rigor is NOT a Four-Letter Word, Rigor Made Easy, Rigor for Students with Special Needs, Rigor Made Easy , and Rigor in Your Classroom: A Toolkit for Teachers . Each of those focused on a variety of strategies to use in the classroom to increase rigor, and they included sections on assessment.
