ABSTRACT
In Chapter 6, we examine and discuss the unsustainable transport challenges of the three city clusters identified in Chapter 5. The average performance, as well as the intra-cluster variations of the 36 variables based on the 10 mobility drivers will be compared and contrasted. The aim is to understand the current general urban context and the possible emerging unsustainable transport challenges to cater for the forecasted population increase up to 2030, rather than to predict specific transport scenarios. These key unsustainable transport challenges will inform us about the most suitable initial sustainable transport strategies at the city cluster level.
