ABSTRACT

We structure the paper as follows. The following section reviews the related literature. Section 3.1 discusses data collection and defines the variables used. Section 3.2 describes key characteristics of individual crowdfunding practices, based on our hand-collected data-set. Section 4 presents a model of individual crowdfunding pratices based on a simple extension of Belleflamme, Lambert, and Schwienbacher (2012; henceforth referred to as BLS). Section 5 provides the results of multivariate analyses on the determinants of crowdfunding success. Finally, Section 6 concludes.
