ABSTRACT

So far, we have considered species-essential objectivation ‘in itself as a unified structure: that is, we have been concerned only with the basic tendencies common to all constituents of this objectivation. But the three main constituents of such objectivation - things, customs and language - have their own special properties, which are in themselves heterogeneous. In what follows, we shall consider these special traits and offer a brief analysis of the internal differentiations of each species-essential objectivation ‘in itself. This analysis is not intended to be exhaustive; indeed, I restrict myself deliberately to those factors and aspects which are of immediate relevance to our present purpose - a comprehension of everyday action and thinking.
